About

Ojai Trees is a grass roots Ojai Valley community forestry group. Our vision is a healthy Ojai Valley community forest that is sustainable for future generations. We are all-volunteer and registered as a non-profit.

We work in partnership with individuals, neighborhoods, public agencies and other non-profit organizations to educate and inspire people to take personal responsibility for the community forest by participating in planting trees with us.

Our core program is the Neighborhood Forester program, which supports individuals in working with their neighbors in beautifying and improving their own neighborhood by planting trees. We hold neighborhood tree planting events four times a year – 2 in spring and 2 in fall. These events are always high spirited and fun and include a yummy snack lunch for volunteers.

We also offer a tree dedication program for planting of a tree dedicated in honor of, or in memory of a loved one, or to celebrate a significant occasion. The gift is acknowledged with a gift card that includes a beautiful image painted by one of Ojai’s TOPA Group of plein-air artists. Each image captures a real Ojai landscape that includes a tree.

Since our founding in 2008, we have planted over 400 new trees in the Ojai Valley, and we are growing! Come join us!
